Project Overview
The China 3 Mtpa Iron Processing Plant is one of many turnkey mineral processing plants Xinhai has designed, supplied and commissioned worldwide. Under an EPCM+O contract, our team handled ore-dressing test work, flowsheet design, equipment manufacturing, construction, installation and commissioning — handing over a plant ready to produce a saleable concentrate.
The Challenge
Like every deposit, this project presented its own combination of ore characteristics, site conditions and logistical constraints. The client needed a robust, easy-to-operate plant that would hit grade and recovery targets reliably, delivered by a single accountable partner.
The Xinhai Solution
Bench and pilot test work in our laboratory defined the optimum process route. The resulting circuit combined crushing and grinding, the appropriate separation technology, and concentrate and tailings dewatering — all engineered, fabricated and integrated by Xinhai.
By matching the flowsheet to the ore in our test lab before construction, the plant reached its design targets quickly during commissioning.
Results
The plant was commissioned on schedule and ramped to its design capacity, producing a clean, marketable concentrate. Xinhai trained the client’s operators on-site and continues to provide spare parts and remote technical support.
